The Skills Talk Show will be held online on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM (EET). The event will be hosted by the charismatic tv-presenter Jaana Pelkonen. Expect interesting discussions on skills, competitions, and the development of vocational education.

The event is free and will be held in Finnish.

The keynote speech will be given by rap artist Marko “Signmark” Vuoriheimo, who made his seemingly impossible dream come true: he is the world’s first deaf artist to sign with an international record label.

Also participating is Taitajien Taitaja 2024 (Best of Taitaja) Max Miettunen, who will share his competition journey. Taitaja (national skills competition) organisers of the coming years will discuss the future of competitions and their impact. How does competition activity appear in the daily life of educational institutions in a tightening economic situation?

We will delve into the current state of international competitions and hear updates from former competitors. Additionally, we will get information about the preparations for the Abilympics 2027 event – where do we stand 2.5 years before the major event in Helsinki?

The event is supported by the City of Helsinki and the Finnish Fair Foundation.

See the program & recording of the event on the Finnish website.
