Team Finland participates in WorldSkills Kazan 2019 with 27 competitors and 25 experts. The Finnish competitors take part in 25 skills.
WorldSkills is a competition for young professionals from different fields of vocational education. The event will be held in Kazan, Russia from 22 to 27 August 2019. In WorldSkills Kazan about 1500 competitors from 63 countries compete in 56 skills.
The Finnish National Team is selected through trial competitions in the Fall 2018. Since then, the team members have been training in skill training teams in addition to attending national team camps.
Team Leaders in WorldSkills 2019 are Teija Ripattila (Skills Finland), Elina Lapinoja-Pitkänen (Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland) and Minna Alanko-Pirinen (Tampere Vocational College Tredu).
The Official Delegate of WorldSkills International is the President of Skills Finland, Ms Seija Rasku. Technical Delegate is the Technical Manager of Skills Finland, Mr Hannu Immonen. Technical Delegate Assistant is Mr Vesa Iltola from Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia.
The secretariat and communications team include Executive Director Eija Alhojärvi, Office Manager Maria Atzmon, Management Assistant Emmi-Maria Husu, Communications Manager Katja Katajamäki, Communications Assistant Anni Ketola and Abilympics Coordinator Matti Kauppinen.

In addition, we will arrange a meet-up event Meet the Finns at our booth on Sunday the 25th of August from 1 pm until 3 pm.
