Over 1800 vocational students compete in Taitaja2025 semifinals

The Finnish national skills competition Taitaja's semifinal week will be held from January 27 to 31, 2025, across Finland. There are over 1800 semifinalists.

The Taitaja2025 semifinal week for the Finnish National Skills Competition will be held from January 27 to 31, 2025, across Finland. More than 1800 vocational students will participate in the semifinals at around 30 different educational institutions. Seven skills categories will be conducted as remote competitions, allowing participants to compete from their own schools.

Generally, the top eight competitors or pairs from each skill will advance to the Taitaja finals, which will be held in Turku from May 5 to 8, 2025. The names of the finalists will be announced on February 13, 2025, at 9 AM during the Taitaja2025 competition briefing.

Approximately 400 competitors from across Finland will participate in the Taitaja2025 finals in Turku. The event will feature competitions in 48 different skills categories, including automotive and transportation technology, information and communication technology, services, construction, catering services, and industry. The list of the skills also includes TaitajaPLUS, where students requiring special support compete for national championships in their fields, and the Taitaja9 final, a dynamic skills competition for lower secondary school students.

The media is warmly invited to follow the semifinals. Arrangements for interviews can be made in advance with the semifinal coordinator of each category.

The Taitaja2025 finals will be held in Turku

The Taitaja2025 finals will be held in Turku for the third time, with the event taking place at the Turku Fair Center, Turku AKK, and the surrounding areas. In addition to the competitions, the event will feature six different professional demonstrations, seminars, various event markets, and numerous trial points where visitors can test their skills in different categories.
