TEAM FINLAND in International Competitions

Team Finland has participated WorldSkills competitions since 1989, EuroSkills since the first competition in 2008, and International Abilympics since 2007. In 2005, Skills Finland organised the WorldSkills Competition in Helsinki.

Finland’s delegates in international organisations

  • WorldSkills: Official Delegate (OD) is Skills Finland’s President, counsellor of education Seija Rasku from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Technical delegate (TD) is Skills Finland’s Technical manager, director Hannu Immonen from the Turku Vocational college.
  • EuroSkills: Official Delegate (OD) is Skills Finland’s Chief training manager Teija Ripattila, who is also a member of the organisation’s Board of Directors. Technical Delegate (TD) is Lecturer Tapio Kattainen from Helsinki Business College.
  • Abilympics: Markku Aunola is Finland's representative in International Abilympics Federation (IAF), and member in Executive Committee of IAF.

WorldSkills Kazan 2019 and the Finnish national team

The Finnish national team participaters in 25 skills. During the autumn 2018 the rial competitions were organised to choose the competitors in each skill. Skills Finland and its partners train the team and send it to the competition.
